No matter your background or where you’re at, there’s a place for you. We truly believe life is better connected—and groups are where that happens."
We’re all about Jesus! We believe the Bible is true, relevant, and life-changing, and everything we do points back to Him.
While communion is celebrated corporately throughout the year during our Sunday experiences, it is also available at any time in our Prayer Room for personal prayer and reflection.
Simply put, we love and care about people from all walks of life; people with various beliefs, ethics, perspectives and lifestyles. We care that humanity, and some within the Christian church, can be so quick to alienate and ostracize others who are different than them; those who live differently, think differently, and speak differently.
However, we also hold to biblical values when it comes to LGBTQ+ lifestyles and marriages. We do believe God’s word is clear that marriage is between a man and a woman. The writings of the apostle Paul in scripture on the subject of homosexuality are also clear, and our Lead Pastor has mentioned this in previous messages before.
Roots Church welcomes ALL people but does not affirm all lifestyles. Put clearly, we do not affirm a LGBTQ+ lifestyle.
We believe our nation is facing a significant mental health crisis, one expression of which is gender dysphoria. This crisis has led to deep confusion surrounding identity, marriage, and God’s design for humanity.
Scripture speaks clearly to these issues. In Genesis 1:27, we see that God created humanity in His image—male and female. In Genesis 2, marriage is established as a covenant between one man and one woman. These distinctions are not accidental; they are intentional and purposeful.
Because God is perfect and does not make mistakes, we believe that each person’s biological sex is part of His intentional design. Our identity is not self-defined but received as a gift from the Creator.
Everyone is welcome at Roots Church.
Whether you are in a same-sex relationship, wrestling with your gender identity, walking through recovery from substance abuse or addiction, or navigating any other LGBTQIA+ lifestyle, we want you to know that you are genuinely welcome here.
We invite you to join us each Sunday for worship and the Word in a place where community is strong, relationships are real, and every person is treated with dignity and care.
We understand that our convictions may not make everyone happy, and some may even see our stance as contradictory. While we open our doors to people from every background and life story, we do not affirm every lifestyle or belief. Our prayer is that each of us—no matter our struggle—would experience the transforming freedom found in Jesus Christ.
If God had intended to condemn the world, He would have sent a condemner. Instead, He sent a Savior (John 3:17). That same heart—to save, restore, and redeem—is the heart we desire to reflect.
Roots currently offers:
• rootsKIDS (0 weeks–5th grade)
• rootsYOUTH (6th grade-12th grade)
• rootsYA (Young Adults 18–32)
• rootsLADIES (Women 18 & Older, Graduated High School)

Each ministry is designed to help people grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and live out their purpose.
rootsKIDS is our children’s ministry designed to help kids grow in faith through Bible stories, songs, and fun group activities tailored for each age group.
As part of our Age Appropriate Policy, children in 5th grade and under participate in rootsKIDS during Sunday experiences. rootsKIDS is a safe, fun, and intentionally designed environment where children learn about Jesus in a way that connects with their age and stage of development. Each rootsKIDS zone , based upon your child's age, is tailored to provide worship, crafts, stories, lessons, games & more appropriate for that age group. While kids are growing in their faith at their level, adults are able to fully engage in the main auditorium experience.
We introduced the Age Appropriate Policy to create the best possible environment for every age group to flourish. Children thrive when they are taught at their developmental level in spaces built specifically for them - in rootsKIDS! At the same time, this approach allows adults to worship, focus, and receive the message in a distraction-minimized setting. Our heart is simple: growth for the whole family.
We host a prayer and worship night called 1st Wednesday on the first Wednesday of every month—These nights are specifically set apart for the whole family to worship together in the main auditorium!
We understand that every family’s situation is unique—especially for parents with new babies! We want you to feel supported during those early weeks. For Sunday experiences, we offer a Parent Lounge, with rootsCAFE and lobby viewing areas as additional options. Our team is always happy to help you find what works best for your family while honoring our Age Appropriate Policy.
Your child’s safety is one of our highest priorities. Our rootsKIDS environments are intentionally designed with strong security measures in place, including:
Our SAFE church framework is the following:
• Background checks on all volunteers
• A trained Safety & Security team member stationed outside of rootsKIDS every Sunday
• An extensive and secure check-in / check-out process
• Camera-monitored classrooms
• Parent access to live camera views from the lobby
• Children’s spaces located in a secure, tucked-away area of the building
We are committed to creating a safe, structured, and joy-filled environment where your children can grow in their faith—and where you can have complete peace of mind.
