OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD @ ROOTS 2025

Partner with Roots as we seek to change the lives of children and families on a whole 'nutha (and international) level!

Samaritan’s Purse works to spread the news of Jesus far and wide, and we're pumped to continue our partnership with them through Operation Christmas Child in 2025.

Pick up a box (or two) and bring it home to fill with hygiene items, activities & toys, school & art supplies, and more! Pray over your box and bring it back to Roots where we will partner with Samaritan’s Purse to deliver it to a child in need. Or - Build a Box online! This feature enables you to purchase a box digitally & ensure it gets packed with goodies for a child in need.

Please return your packed boxes to Roots by November 16 so we can ensure they get sent out with plenty of time to arrive by Christmas!

Note: due to various customs regulations, please do not send liquids, candy, toothpaste, or war-like toys (Including toy knives, guns, weapons, etc). Items must also fit within the box to be sent with the box.

What is Operation Christmas Child?

Operation Christmas Child is a global outreach effort led by Samaritan’s Purse to share the love of Jesus by delivering gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world.

How can I participate?

You can pick up a physical shoebox from Roots, fill it with items, and return it by November 16. Alternatively, you can Build a Box online HERE!

What should I put in the box?

Please fill your box with items like:

Hygiene products (non-liquid)
Toys and fun activities
School and art supplies
Small clothing items or accessories
Notes or drawings

Don’t forget to pray over your box before returning it!

Are there any items I should NOT include?

Yes. Please do not include:

Liquids or lotions
Candy or toothpaste
Toy weapons or war-like items (e.g., toy guns, knives, etc.)
Anything that won’t fit entirely inside the box

When is the deadline to return boxes?

All packed shoeboxes must be returned to Roots by November 16, 2025, to ensure they arrive by Christmas.

Can I pack a box online instead of in person?

Absolutely! You can build a shoebox digitally by clicking HERE! Samaritan’s Purse will pack and send it for you

Can I take and fill more than one box?

Yes — absolutely! Feel free to take as many boxes as you'd like to bless more children around the world. We just ask that you return all filled boxes to Roots by November 16, so we can make sure they’re sent out on time.
